WOW, I’m extremely proud of this issue. Having Lilia Vu as the cover star is a fantastic achievement, particularly since at the time of print, Vu is sitting in the number 1 position on the Rolex Women’s World Rankings. Her story is a true inspiration and I hope you enjoy hearing about her rapid journey from ‘almost quitting the sport to absolutely dominating the competition’. The topic of quitting (haven’t we all had days where we want to chuck the clubs in the ditch) and then finding a new beginning (mental and/or physical) point is also the theme of our expert Mindset Coach, Jenny Jones’ article – see page 86 for more. We also delve into the golf fashion world and see how popular brands such as Malbon and PXG…
WHAT an amazing start to this year’s golf season! It all kicked off with Kelsey Bennett’s outstanding victory at the Athena, followed by Hannah Green’s impressive performance at the HSBC Classic held at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. Green’s breathtaking three-hole birdie blitz from the 16th hole ultimately sealed her victory. Watching players proudly representing their nations at these events is truly exciting. I was so hooked on the experience that I decided to stay longer to watch our Aussies Justice Bosio and Kelsey Bennett’s amazing display against a strong Korean field at the KLPGA Women’s Championship in Singapore the following weekend. After my recent travels, I can’t help but appreciate the tremendous effort put into organising these iconic events behind the scenes. Sentosa Golf Club once again proved itself…

AUSTRALIA’S Hannah Green pipped Celine Boutier of France to the 2024 HSBC Women’s World Championship title by one shot after draining a stunning 30-feet birdie at the last hole. The US $1.8 million LPGA tournament appeared to be headed for a playoff between Green and Boutier after Boutier had earlier closed with a five-under-par 67. However, after already making two birdies on 16 and 17, Green ensured there would not be any extra time as her long birdie putt on 18 dropped into the hole to see her finish with a winning four-day total of 13-under-par 275. Meanwhile, Canada’s Brooke Henderson secured her third top-10 finish in four starts since the LPGA’s season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions by carding a 68 to share third place with South Korea’s…

WITH golf fashion trending hard right now, and more and more newcomers participating in the sport – especially women, it’s expected that new fashion trends would arise. Over the past couple of years we’ve seen the emergence of not only small, up-and-coming golf brands, but bigger companies finding ways to leverage the opportunity to make their mark in golf. There are a few that stand out to me on the women’s fashion side that break through the noise and saturation of the race to the next best golf brand and are primed for long-term success. Brands like Fore All, Rhone, and Malbon Womens are finding ways to move golf forward for women, each targeting a diverse range of styles, bodies, and vibes all around. FORE ALL, with their take on…
