Women’s Golf is Australia’s ONLY golf magazine dedicated to women golfers. Full of great tips and training ideas, equipment reviews, industry news, course profiles, golf fashion, athlete interviews, golf holidays & much more.
THIS issue is packed full of amazing women doing fab things in golf such as next-gen star Gabi Ruffles, world-long driver and media personality Troy-Cherie Mullins, the legendary Karrie Webb, Aussie tour stalwart Sarah Kemp and golf analyst Morgan Pressel. Of course, the women behind the scenes are also kicking goals, particularly in industry leadership roles. I loved reading Tiffany Cherry’s (head of Women’s Golf and Engagement at Golf Australia) piece on this very topic and hope you draw inspiration from it too. Don’t skip our spring fashion feature either – that 70’s athletic look is trending big time and we’ve picked several outfits that are destined to be flaunted on the course. Along with some elevated golf attire that will take you from the fairway to the clubhouse in…
SAWASDEE, GREETINGS FROM THE HEART OF BANGKOK! When it comes to sports and travel, golf stands out as a unique choice. It offers amazing opportunities to explore new places and connect with people, all while adhering to consistent rules. Regardless of your location in the world, golf remains a universal language. Speaking of the game itself, let me share my recent golfing adventure in Thailand. I organised a one-day golf experience with Fusions Tours Thailand, and it was a breeze. They responded promptly, which was especially reassuring since I was travelling solo and had the pleasure of partnering with Darryl, a Kiwi who owns and operates Fusion Golf Tours. The course he selected, Nikanti Golf Club (www.nikantigolfclub.com), was nothing short of stunning. Walking into the locker room with my name…

KPMG WOMEN’S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP AT BALTUSROL GOLF CLUB THE KPMG Women’s PGA Championship was played at historic Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, for a purse of $9 million. Matilda Castren, for one, was thrilled at the lead-up to the event. “I can’t wait to play at Baltusrol,” she said. “It’s amazing where women’s golf is heading, these bigger purses and the historic venues.” Visitors to Baltusrol can sense the history of the place the moment they arrive on the grounds. Since 1901 the club’s two courses have hosted seven U.S. Opens, two U.S. Women’s Opens, and two PGA Championships. The Lower Course, an A.W. Tillinghast design, was completed in 1922. Mickey Wright won the third of her four U.S. Women’s Open titles there in 1961 (her winner’s check…
U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN 2026 RIVIERA COUNTRY CLUB Riviera in Los Angeles was a regular stop on the PGA Tour for many years. Ben Hogan won the first of his four U.S. Open titles there in 1948 and the club hosted the PGA Championship in 1993 (won by Hal Sutton) and 1995 (Steve Elkington). 2027 INVERNESS CLUB The Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio has hosted four U.S. Opens (1920, ’31, ’57, ’79) and two PGA Championships (1986, ’93). The list of past champions includes the legendary Ted Ray (1920 U.S. Open) and Hale Irwin (1979 U.S. Open). The club was also the setting for the 2021 Solheim Cup that saw Europe score a 15-13 win, its second victory on American soil. 2028, ’38 OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB Located near Pittsburgh, Oakmont has…
KARRIE Webb was given plenty of unsolicited advice when she first started out in her golfing career. While she knows it was all offered with the best of intentions, it wasn’t always welcome. That’s why the winner of 41 LPGA Tour tournaments, including seven majors, has been careful not to do the same with the girls and young women she has mentored since 2008 through her Karrie Webb Scholarships. Two scholarships are awarded each year to Australian amateur female golfers for performance in the Karrie Webb Series and World Amateur Golf Ranking as well as work in the community and as a golfing ambassador both in Australia and overseas. Past recipients, including major champions Minjee Lee and Hannah Green, have received valuable mentoring support from Karrie for the duration of…
