KPMG WOMEN’S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP AT BALTUSROL GOLF CLUB THE KPMG Women’s PGA Championship was played at historic Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, for a purse of $9 million. Matilda Castren, for one, was thrilled at the lead-up to the event. “I can’t wait to play at Baltusrol,” she said. “It’s amazing where women’s golf is heading, these bigger purses and the historic venues.” Visitors to Baltusrol can sense the history of the place the moment they arrive on the grounds. SARAH Kemp has been chasing her golfing dreams for more than two decades now, first as one of Australia’s most celebrated amateurs and now as a professional. The road she has travelled has been a circuitous one, and fraught with challenges. How to decide what’s right for you WHAT is the difference between a fairway wood and a hybrid? Which one should you have in your bag and use on the fairway? The answers are pretty straightforward because you can select a combination of both, or you could have all fairways or all hybrids. There’s no rule per se, just go with what’s right for you. HITTING in a bunker can often be some golfers’ nightmare but it doesn’t need to be if you know the process for how to get out! Here are a few tips to help you consistently get out of the bunker and keep your round moving in the right direction. However, it is also important to remember that there is one more important component to the movement chain – the cervical spine – aka the ‘neck’. Adequate thoracic rotation mobility is certainly required for an efficient golf swing but so is neck rotation mobility.
