A few months ago, if you asked me if this summer would bring out a number of inperson events, my response may have been completely different. Now, as everything has changed so rapidly in the country, we are seeing a burst of shows anticipating their first outings in almost two years. The scheduled dates are now a full reality, with some even expanding as things continue to open. LA Art Show was one of the last events to take place in 2020 and pivoted to a summertime event for 2021 after first scheduling the show for its usual February dates. The fair will be taking place July 29 through August 1 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will include booths from some of the best dealers in contemporary realism.…

A traveling exhibition at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum presents 62 works from The Kerry and C. The Portland Museum of Art in Maine holds the first major exhibition celebrating the life and career of artist, curator and scholar David Driskell, who passed away in April 2020 from the coronavirus.
