As a mum of two young girls I found our report on p28 disturbing, yet compelling, reading. It is about the rise in numbers of abusive children – teenagers who are lashing out at their parents. For a mum to be afraid of their child... well, I just can’t imagine how that would feel. But experts offering support to families dealing with this situation say many are afraid to seek the help they need as they are embarrassed and don’t want to be judged.
