William’s biological mother has spoken out about the torment she has faced since her little boy went missing in 2014. “It’s been years,” she told reporters. “Can you imagine what I’ve been through? SLOW COOKER SPICED CAPSICUM & CHILLI JAM MAKES 4 CUPS (1 LITRE) PREP 45 MINS COOK 8 HOURS 20 MINS • 1kg red capsicums • 500g vine-ripened tomatoes • 175ml white vinegar • 1 cup jam setting sugar • 2 cloves garlic, crushed • 4 medium red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped • 1 star anise • 1 tsp ground ginger • 1 tsp ground coriander • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon • 2 tbsp fish sauce • 2 tbsp lime juice 1 Preheat oven to 240°C. Place capsicums on a large oven tray. Cook 15 mins or until skin is blackened and blistered. Cover tightly with foil. Cool. Slice in half. Remove skin, seeds and membrane. FILLABLE BAUBLES WHAT YOU NEED • clear fillable baubles • spray adhesive • glitter • bauble fillers and scatters INSTRUCTIONS  1 Set up supplies in a well-ventilated area on a protected surface. A recycled cardboard box makes a great working surface for this project as it catches loose glitter and any overspray from the glue. 2 Open a clamshell bauble and lightly spray the inside with the spray adhesive to cover the entire inner surface. As Australia celebrated Cleo Smith’s safe return home 18 days after she vanished from a campsite in Western Australia, the country’s thoughts immediately turned to William Tyrrell. The timing of the renewed efforts in William’s case may seem convenient, coming so soon after the public interest in the successful Cleo Smith search, but criminologist Xanthe Mallett says it’s most likely coincidental. “All this [activity in William’s case] is news to the public but the police will have been building up to this for some time,” she tells Woman’s Day. CHERRY PISTACHIO ICE-CREAM SANDWICHES MAKES 10 PREP 15 MINS + FREEZING • 1 litre vanilla ice-cream, softened • 100g white chocolate, grated • 1 cup cherries, pitted, finely chopped, plus extra to serve •1/3 cup pistachios, roughly chopped • 1 tsp finely grated orange zest • 20 choc-ripple biscuits • icing sugar, to dust 1 Spoon ice-cream into a large bowl. Stir in white chocolate. Fold through cherries, pistachios and orange zest. Return to container. Freeze overnight or until firm. 2 Place an oven tray lined with baking paper in freezer to chill. CHARGRILLED PESTO PRAWN BRUSCHETTA SERVES 6 PREP 20 MINS COOK 5 MINS • 1 loaf ciabatta • ¼ cup olive oil • 24 (750g) green tiger prawns, peeled •1/3 cup sundried tomato pesto • 1 lemon, finely grated zest and juice • 1 large avocado, mashed • ¼ cup creme fraiche • basil leaves, to serve 1 Cut bread on an angle into 12 x 1cm-thick slices. Brush bread slices with half the oil. Toss prawns in remaining oil, 2 tbsp tomato pesto, lemon zest and 1 tbsp juice. 2 Heat an oiled barbecue grill on medium high. Egg & spinach ravioli with herb filling & tomato concasse Try Tilly Ramsay’s exquisite and delicious pasta dish! For ravioli, bring a small saucepan of water to the boil. Blanch 50g baby spinach and refresh in cold water. Reserve saucepan of water. Drain spinach, squeezing with paper towel to remove water. Place into a small food processor along with 125g eggs and process until spinach is very finely chopped. Place 225g semolina onto a clean work surface. Make a well in the centre. Add blended spinach and egg and bring the ingredients together into a dough. Knead by hand into a smooth elastic dough, about 5 mins. Wrap in cling wrap and set aside in the fridge for 30 mins.
