Angelina Jolie is being accused of ripping off a movie idea from the deaf woman she once employed to teach her children sign language. Antoinette Abbamonte told the Daily Mail last week that Angelina, 44, took her suggestion of creating a deaf superhero for her upcoming Marvel film The Eternals. “I asked Angelina straight up, ‘How did this happen?’” says Antoinette, 53, “She said, ‘The universe works in mysterious ways.’” The UK media group obtained emails between the pair in 2018 in which they discussed the character. “It’s not that I want personal credit,” says Antoinette. “I just hate how deaf people across the board are being treated.
