As the youngest of five sisters raised by an incredibly strong single mum, I’ve learned many life lessons from some very special ladies. Patience, generosity, the art of listening – I try, at least, to give them all a bit of a whirl in my life! But there’s one I hadn’t given much thought to until hearing this week from my favourite celebrity Helen Mirren: the art of not giving a stuff! As she puts it, she’s done everything she shouldn’t – sunbaked, drunk too much wine, eaten hot chips… But life’s too short to worry about any of that. So I’m thinking this week we live by Helen’s rules and try our best to not give a toss! (I take no responsibility for how it might turn out!)…
Who’s a mummy’s boy? Heidi Klum’s son, Henry, 12, proved he’s not too grown up to give Mum a kiss while the family holidayed in St Barts. Aww! Rocking out! Comedian Magda Szubanski and Rebecca Breeds – her co-star in film Three Summers – were in party mode at the Melbourne International Film Festival last week. Aussie angel An ethereal Jennifer Hawkins looks like she’s floating on air as she struts her stuff on the runway for Myer. Daddy day care Hamish Blake has come up with the perfect way to make sure son Sonny feels included after the birth of his sister Rudy – his own baby carrier. Cute! An Ed Sheeran concert would be enough to put anyone in the mood for romance, not least Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who sparked rumours they’re back together when they enjoyed a date at Ed’s show in LA recently. Katy, 32, sat on Orlando’s lap for most of the night and the pair “cuddled” and “shared kisses”, says an onlooker at the gig. “They definitely seemed like they’re back together,” said the witness. “They looked like they were having the time of their lives. People didn’t really bug her. I don’t really think people knew it was them because they had hats on and stuff.” Katy and the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor, 40, called time on their relationship in February but have remained on good terms, even attending a…
Looks like former My Kitchen Rules star Ash Pollard is cooking up a new romance – this time with Australian Ninja Warrior star Jack Wilson! An Instagram pic of the pair cosying up on a romantic dinner last week sent social media into meltdown. “Yes!” commented Ash’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! bestie Joel Creasey, seemingly confirming the romance. “I saw this coming,” was another comment. Jack, the first person to complete the Australian Ninja Warrior course, has said he “fell in love” with Ash, 31, because she was so hilarious on My Kitchen Rules.…
Mel B’s divorce is set to get even uglier. Her ex-nanny Lorraine Gilles (above), who is suing Mel after being branded a homewrecker, claims she only slept with Stephen Belafonte when Mel told her to. Lorraine, 26, also says she had a sexual relationship with the singer for seven years. “The only times Stephen and I had sex was when Melanie instructed Stephen and I to do so. Or when Melanie herself invited her husband to join us in the bedroom, at which point Melanie would often serve as the ‘cameraman… or take part in the menage a trois herself,” she told Los Angeles Superior Court.…
It was the split nobody saw coming and now Chris Pratt and Anna Faris’s divorce has taken a nasty turn. The Scary Movie actress, 40, last week hinted her ex, with whom she has son Jack, six, didn’t “fully value” her in their marriage. The star – who gave relationship advice on the podcast My Favourite Murder – told listeners, “Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel it isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you. “I made that mistake,” Anna, who was married to Chris, 38, for eight years, added. “The final piece of advice I could give you is to know your worth, and know your independence.” Over to you, Chris……
