Supernatural fans have reason to rejoice. Beloved alum Jensen Ackles is returning to TV in a leading role, starring as LAPD officer Mark Meachum in Prime Video’s upcoming thriller series Countdown. Created by Derek Haas (Dick Wolf’s Chicago shows), it centers on Ackles’ Meachum, who is recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents while helping to solve a suspicious murder — until something much more menacing comes into play. It’s up to Meachum and his team to save the city, but dedicated audiences know that for the actor, it’s all in a day’s work.
