Your article, Shelter From The Storm (AWW, August), hit the nail on the head when it comes to positive action for victims of domestic violence. How many observers think, “Why don’t they just leave?”, when the answer is about having to make a choice between violence and poverty. If there was more financial support for victims, they may be less inclined to endure abusive situations and consequently make a valuable contribution towards breaking the cycle.
