Food plants: Fruit trees such as limes, tropical apples, avocados, grape and passionfruit vines; roots, bulbs and rhizomes such as choko, sweet potato, ginger and turmeric; seeds of amaranth, artichoke, asparagus, basil, carrots, celery, corn, eggplant, lettuce, onion, parsley, peas, pumpkin, shallots, tomato, watermelon and zucchini.
Ornamentals: Any flowering shrub and perennial, especially ornamental gingers; seeds or seedlings of alyssum, California poppy, gerbera, helichrysum, kangaroo paw, marigold, pansy, petunias, sunflower and zinnia.
Temperate
Food plants: Any fruit tree, vine or shrub, bare-rooted or evergreen; seeds or seedlings of baby carrots, beetroot, celery, lettuce, parsnip, peas, onions, silver beet and spinach. Pots of tomatoes or chilli can be grown on a warm sunny patio.
