Our radar is always on in general practice for “red flag symptoms”. Some of these are obvious like bleeding, jaundice or particular types of pain. Some are more subtle hints of underlying serious diseases that may not be immediately obvious, but can be catastrophic if they are overlooked. The basics – peeling prawns Here we show how to prepare raw or cooked prawns for salads, platters or in cooked dishes. STEP 1 REMOVING HEADS Cut behind the head, or twist off head using your fingers, to remove it. You can keep the head to make stock; they will freeze for up to 2 months. Or, use the glacé orange, finely chopped, in place of the mixed peel. • Don’t be put off about making the syrup for this recipe. The 1st day of Christmas Kindness in the bag Rochelle Courtenay was moved to major acts of community kindness when she read about the “period poverty” that many women face. In 2015, she founded Share the Dignity to provide sanitary items to homeless women.
