Washington based Ocean Alexander shipyard has come up with an all new and innovative project design for a 90’ to be realized with Evan Marshall’s contribution. Since inception back in 1977 Ocean Alexander’s founder Alex Chueh from Taiwan has been building classic motor yachts. Obviously the yard has in the course of time modernized while choosing to stay away from stylistic revolutions brought about by European designers. Today his son Johnny Chueh is at the helm, they build two lines of products, the Motoryacht line with models from 70 to 90 feet and the Megayacht line from 100 to 155 feet. A high profile Italian Yacht designer - Hot Lab studio and a notable shipyard –VSY, have joined forces. The result of their respective work was a 67 metre explorer project presented at the latest Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. “Hot lab’s 67 M Explorer by VSY comprises all of the most important features requested in modern yachts while maintaining the original Explorer yacht concept” as reportedly said by Michele Dragoni partner and styling department head at Hot Lab. Cantieri Navali di Chioggia’s Ocean King brand has now a new entry: the Naucrates 130 designed by Green Yachts an Italian design studio. Just like the Naucrates 88 this model is also destined to cruise every ocean and that is why this yacht too has been designed to comply to the highest standards in term of build and safety. Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has recently come up with a new 53 metre planing yacht. She sports a beam of 9.20 metres and is capable of 28 knots. This performance yacht’s waterlines have been attained following ad hoc studies, to match the exuberance of three hefty MTU 16V 2000 M94L engines coupled to a pair of hydro-jets and Kamewa booster. This new sporty Tankoa yacht project has been purposely named Saetta to best evoke speed. The exterior design is definitely aggressive and brawny which befits such a promising yacht at least in terms of speed. CRN has recently presented the newly built 86 metre Explorer Yacht designed by British design studio Harrison Eidsgard. This project differs substantially from many others which look a lot like work ships with which to explore remote areas.
