Wholly predictable: our kitchen extension has been delayed. Originally due to kick off in June, we’re now looking at the end of summer. And you know what? I’m actually feeling pretty zen about it. Vinyl is a great budget option, especially with a young family. It can withstand splashes, is slip resistant and comes in fun designs. Ceramic tiles come in a huge variety of designs in the mid range price bracket, but they can feel cold. Avoid highly polished designs as they can be slippery when wet.
