F ORBIDDEN FANTASY TRUCK CLUB HOSTED ITS FIRST SHOW IN 1998 IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AT A SMALL AMUSEMENT PARK. The show has gone through changes over the years, and in 2016, the club moved it to the AVI Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The pandemic threw everything off track, and for a few years the show was held at another location. But for 2024, the show was back at the AVI—and it sure felt good. The AVI boasts a huge grassy area right on the Colorado River where only painted vehicles are permitted to park. The club does this because they want people to have something to work toward.
