LETTER FROM THE EDITOR August has traditionally been the month for celebrating local pride and excellence here in Southeast Asia. For a start, Singapore and its closest neighbours, Malaysia and Indonesia, each mark a milestone of emancipation this month. We thought it fitting that all the Sanctuaries projects we selected for this issue are also located in and designed by homegrown talents from these three countries. EDL Conceptualised in collaboration with experience design agency Afternaut, the EDL gallery takes up the third storey of the laminates firm’s new regional headquarters in Singapore, serving as both an immersive browsing space as well as a source of inspiration for customers.
