Tradition, devotion and maximalism are embedded in Dolce & Gabbana, which celebrated the family in all its aspects. Mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, grandmothers with grandchildren, husbands and wives paraded hand in hand, wearing clothes with a strong visual impact between glorification and innovation. The clothes ran the gamut of the brand’s repertoire, including lace, brocades, embroidery, crosses, gold medallions, ex voto, tassels, fringes, patches, flounces, bows, crowns, neck scarves and black veils. The show was an explosion of floral prints, Virgin Mary collages, votive statues, maxi polka dots, hearts, animals, dappled textures, scribbles, stars, pupils, and piano notes.
