FATHER & SON AT THE FINALS Prince William and his son Prince George were on hand in Berlin Olympiastadion to cheer on England as they tackled Spain in the Euro 2024 final. The royal father and son, who are known as being big football fans, wildly clapped and cheered when their home country managed to tie up the scoreline 1–1. But like other English fans, William, 42, and George, 11, had their hopes dashed when Spain pulled ahead 2–1, which remained the final scoreline at the full-time whistle. Unable to hide their despair over the heartbreaking loss, both Wills and George held their heads in their hands in mirror image. The Princess of Wales’ attendance marked just her second public outing since announcing her cancer diagnosis and undergoing chemotherapy treatments earlier this year. The 42-year-old was joined in the Royal Box by her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Matthews to watch Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic in straight sets. ON THE STREETS Prince William is set to star in a two-part documentary exploring homelessness. The future king has set his sights on making rough sleeping, sofa surfing and other forms of temporary accommodation a thing of the past with his ambitious new initiative, called ‘Homewards’. Homewards is a five-year project launched by Prince William to bring together a range of individuals and organisations to develop bespoke homelessness solutions in different regions of Britain. William announced two new projects related to the project that aims to lift the veil on the work he’s doing to improve the lives of homeless people in the country.
