My favourite heat lovers include Poor Knights lily, manuka, lavender, most succulents, Aussie box (westringia), corokia, euphorbia, dietes species, Australian tussock (lomandra), agapanthus (sterile types only, as others can be invasive), Teucrium fruticans, Brachyglottis ‘Otari Cloud’, echinacea, lychnis, rain lilies (zephyranthes) and flaxes. Avoid doing any new planting right now. Wait until the weather cools and there’s more moisture in the soil.
