Globe thistle (Echinops) We’re used to regarding common thistles as pest plants but globe thistles (Echinops) are much better behaved and better looking. Echinops has nearly 100 species in the genus, many highly prized for their vivid blue globe-shaped flower heads. Their blooms last well in a vase freshly cut or dried. MOUSEPAD If your old mousepad is looking a little tired, why not spruce it up with your fave fabric? You can also use an inexpensive new pad, as we did. Apply clear craft glue thinly to the top of your mousepad, spreading it right to the edges. Cut a square of fabric bigger than the mousepad and place this on top, smoothing any bumps. Allow to dry well, then trim around the edge with sharp scissors. MAGNETS Take some plain black magnets and apply clear craft glue to the top.
