BELINDA Bauer spent her early childhood in South Africa before her family moved to England. She’s worked as a journalist and screenwriter.
Her debut novel, Blacklands, won the Gold Dagger for best crime novel of 2010. Since then she’s written five others, including her latest offering, The Shut Eye, which has been billed as her best. Her novels have been translated into 21 languages.
Belinda lives in Cardiff, Wales. In her free time she likes to walk her dogs, ride motorbikes, play poker and take classes in obscure pursuits such as French field archery and repairing vintage watches.
