IF YOU had to single out a recent event that speaks of his arrogance and his family’s attitude towards him, it has to be the funeral of the Duchess of Kent.
It was a solemn occasion, as funerals usually are – but amid the mourning black something stood out: Prince Andrew’s teeth. As other royals bowed their heads and supported the wispy, grief-stricken Duke of Kent, there he was, grinning, chortling, whispering and gabbing.
He tried to talk to Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who did her best to ignore him. He tried to talk to his brother, King Charles, who, polite to the core, nodded coolly.
Then he tried to engage Prince William – and if body language could talk the future king was saying, “Shut up, Uncle”.
