ON 21January, Pluto (the slow-moving planet of powerful transformation) transits from the conservative, leader-focused sign of Capricorn into the progressive, inventive, group-focused sign of Aquarius. Then (apart from a brief stint back in Capricorn later in the year) Pluto stays in Aquarius until 2044.
The last time Pluto moved through Aquarius was from 1778 until 1798, a period that included the colonisation of Australia, the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution and the gradual abolition of the slave trade.
So expect discoveries, innovations, rebellions and revolutions. There will also be radical regeneration in science, space travel and sustainable technologies, plus increasing power, access and representation for groups that have been under-represented in society.
