There are 230 suicide attempts in SA every day and one in three attempts is by a teenager, says Cassey Chambers, operations director at the SA Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). It’s a rare neurological disorder caused by the varicellazoster virus, the same virus that causes chicken pox and shingles. The virus can lie dormant for years but can awaken with a trigger, such as trauma, fever, stress or a weakened immune system. This can lead to inflammation of the nerve that controls the facial muscles. It can also cause a rash or blisters around the ear, facial weakness, difficulty closing an eye, a loss of facial expression, pain in the ear or face, and hearing loss. The Prague Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj is 600 years old and a famous landmark and tourist attraction in the Czech capital. It was reopened to the public in 2018 following expensive repairs and renovations. But a heritage group is now accusing the artist who did the renovations of making changes to the artwork on the clock, including that some of the faces of the people in the paintings now look different to the original paintings it was based on.
