Billboard released its list of the highest-earning musicians of 2020/21 and it was the ever-popular Swiftie who clinched top spot.
With concerts and tours cancelled worldwide due to the coronavirus pandemic, the collective earnings of the top earners was $387 million (about R5,4 billion), noticeably down from $969m (R14,05bn) in 2019.
Most of the artists’ revenue last year came from royalties – sales, streaming and publishing.
