The recent flood of negative stories and the backlash against Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in the media (YOU, 18 July) are disappointing. The reason they’re trying to keep their child’s life as private as possible is probably a mixture of the sad consequences of Harry’s mom, Diana, being hounded by the media and the fact that baby Archie isn’t an immediate heir to the throne. There are quite a number in line ahead of him. Britain’s The Guardian newspaper recently published an article about the hype around their home, Frogmore cottage: £2,4 million (R42m) was paid by the taxpayer but the property had already been earmarked for renovation.
