So how do you go about catching the pesky parasites? “It’s easiest to catch them using your forefinger and thumb,” Luther says. “You hunt by stroking through the coat but also by blowing on it.” This is because fleas are attracted to movement and carbon dioxide. But be careful not to dismember the flea once you’ve caught it. You’ll need a small container with some ethanol, which you can buy at a pharmacy – then just drop the insect in.
