In some women this choice is encouraged by providers, and in particular by those providers who perform all deliveries by C-section. Women who want a vaginal delivery then have to agree with the provider’s delivery choice or find another provider willing to perform one. Overuse of C-sections in South Africa’s private facilities, as alluded to in the article, places a first-time mother with a low-risk pregnancy at risk of undergoing a non-indicated primary C-section. BANK SECURITY Some banks are warning clients to be aware of “vishing” scams in which you receive a call purportedly from the fraud department warning of high-value suspect activity on your account, then asking you to answer a number of security questions. You’re unable to determine if the call is genuine and if you reveal sensitive information to a scammer you might come to regret it, but if you refuse to answer a genuine call you might find your account has been locked. Having recently experienced both scenarios, a practical answer occurred to me.
