AS FIRSTS go, it was pretty spectacular. South Africa’s beautiful, talented people came out to play at Emperors Palace for our 12th annual YOU Spectacular awards and I was blown away by the loveliness of them all at this year’s event, my first as editor. The gowns were gorgeous, the performances perfect and I loved how much fun everyone had. MEET MY BABY! I read the very interesting article on Silvia from Australia and her reborn dolls (YOU, 14 July). I bought one of these dolls on auction in 2008 after discovering them on the internet. I was doing parchment art at the time and one day I just looked at my reborn baby and thought, “Why not?
