Team prepares for Orkney 2025 Games
For the first time, Orkney will field a full sailing team of four athletes in the 2025 International Island Games, a significant milestone for the Orkney islands, which are hosting the Island Games for the first time.
The 20th edition of the International Island Games, in its 40th year, is on 12-18 July bringing together athletes from 24 island groups to compete in 12 sports, including sailing.
The International Island Games Association has 24 members: Orkney, Shetland, Saint Helena, Faroe Islands, Ynys Mon, Menorca, Saaremaa, Hitra, Aland, Alderney, Bermuda, Gozo, Greenland, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Froya, Gibraltar, Sark, Gotland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Isle of Wight, Western Isles and Guernsey.
