It’s going to be a big year for Russell Watson, as the tenor marks a quarter of a century since his first album, The Voice, was released, and he’s heading out on tour to celebrate.
‘I can’t believe it’s been 25 years, it’s gone so quickly,’ he muses. ‘My first record came out in 2000, and it went to No 1 in the classical charts and stayed there for a year, which became a world record,’ adds Russell, who says his career has been ‘magical’.
