Swollen testes or scrotal swelling can be a sign of many conditions
Testicular swellings are caused by injury, infection, fluid collections, cysts or a tumour, and may include a lump. The testicles are egg-shaped reproductive organs in a thin sac of skin (scrotum), which make hormones and sperm. Usually there are two testicles, but occasionally one or both haven’t descended as a foetus, and remain in the abdomen and need removing.
Associated symptoms can include bruising, discomfort or pain, difficulty passing urine, nausea, penile discharge or blood in the urine.
