Judith Jacobs, 57, farms 600 acres in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, with husband Andrew, 58, growing wheat, oats, sugar beet, oilseed rape and mustard. They keep 50 suckler cows and 110 mule ewes.
‘Farming is a lifestyle, rather than a job, but I love it’ Growing up and helping out on a dairy farm from an early age gave me a good grounding – I could feed calves and drive a tractor by the time I was 10.
