My rights have been violated Q I was in the supermarket car park the other day and I need a disabled car parking space as I’m an amputee. I lost my leg when I was 27 as a I had a sarcoma. I decided to drive around for a few minutes as people do move, and I saw two able-bodied people get into two separate cars in disabled bays. I was so upset I went home. Trauma to any joint will cause pain. If the injury is severe, the pain can become long-term. If the joint surfaces are disrupted, such as after a fracture, osteoarthritis can be a result. As well as the bony joint surfaces, trauma can damage soft tissues around a joint – the ligaments, tendons and synovial tissue lining the joint. Pain or inflammation of these tissues may be eased by resting and elevating the limb, applying an ice pack and taking anti-inflammatory medication.
