For a start, one of its most popular characters, Rachel, (Helen Baxendale) had been killed off in a car crash. The the other cast members in the thirty-something relationship drama – Robert Bathurst (David), James Nesbitt (Adam), Hermione Norris (Karen), John Thomson (Pete) and Fay Ripley (Jenny) – had all moved on to other TV projects and its creator and writer, Mike Bullen, went to live in Australia.
