Ceramics Condition has a remarkable impact on value when it comes to antique ceramics, and these mid-19th century candlesticks from the Minton pottery (pictured right) are a great example of this. At 150 years old, the candlesticks are in almost perfect condition, which makes them worth between £700 and £1,000 at auction. Alternatively, this cherubic candlestick (top right) from the Bow factory, which dates back to 1760, has quite understandably had some bruising along the way.
