1 See your doctor

2 Keep a diary
To spot triggers, such as stress/relief of stress, late nights, lie-ins, foods, dehydration, exercise, travel, weather, periods and drugs, including the Pill.
3 Carry your meds
Make sure that you have a painkiller, medication for vomiting, and/or migraine-stopping triptans. If it starts, lie down in a darkened room if you can.
4 Ask about preventive treatment
Beta-blockers, antidepressant/ anti-epilepsy drugs, pizotifen, Botox, or adjustments to your hormones may all help.…
