To any passer-by, Raynor Winn, 56, and her husband, Moth, 58, were on an adventure of a lifetime – wild camping on the South West Coast Path.
‘If people asked, I told them we’d sold up and decided to go for it,’ says Raynor. ‘It was easier than admitting to the truth. That just a few months before, we’d been made homeless, and this was our only option.’
Raynor and Moth Winn lost everything after an investment in a friend’s company went awry and, in June 2013, stood in court, horrified, as the judge told them they’d lost their case and couldn’t appeal.
