I’ve always had dogs but when my Labrador, Jack, died in 2004 I swore I couldn’t put myself through that heartbreak again. My son, Martin, and I were on holiday in Canada when we had the dreaded phone call to say he’d passed away. Along with the heartache, something else stuck with me from that trip – the beautiful, haunting sound of the howling wolves.
More than a decade later I was scouring the internet when I stumbled across a local breeder of Anglo Wulfdogs and I was fascinated. After months of consideration, research and preparation, I gave in and eight-week-old pup Tok came home with us.
