After years of rumours, the wonderfully outrageous BBC sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous, which first appeared on our TV screens in 1992, is being made into a film.
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie will catch up with hard-living, old-enough-to-know-better fashionistas Edina and Patsy (played with gleeful abandon by Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) in an adventure that takes them from London to the South of France, and features appearances by no less than 60 celebrities.
From Kate Moss, Joan Collins and Jerry Hall to Lulu, Alesha Dixon and Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli, just about everybody who is anybody makes an appearance. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Joanna are joined by regular cast members June Whitfield, as Edina’s mum, Julia Sawalha, as her daughter Saffy, and Jane Horrocks, as useless but always colourfully dressed…
