It’s no secret that Camilla has long loved dancing, or that she’s an avid fan of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing, but it wasn’t until her 70s that she tried a ballet class. Now it has become the Queen’s favourite way to keep fit, with her regularly discussing the health benefits of the activity.
It was in February 2018, when Camilla visited the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) headquarters in Battersea, London, that she was introduced to the dance form.
There, former newsreader Angela Rippon, 79, and singer and actress Elaine Paige, 76, took her to one of the Academy’s Silver Swans ballet lessons, of which the former is an ambassador.
