Crete
If you love nature, you’ll adore Crete. There are so many different ways to get to know Greece’s largest Island. For example, you can cycle, snorkel, dive, windsurf, hike, climb, birdwatch, horse ride or go to a wine tasting. In fact, Crete is the oldest wine producer in Europe and you can do tastings at many vineyards. If hiking is your thing, there are many rugged cliff tops, villages and gorges to take in on foot. At 16km long, Samaria is the best-known gorge on the island. If you’re lucky, you may spot some of the rare kri-kri Cretan wild goats.
