1 Quit booze
‘I suggest people stop drinking alcohol, especially spirits, as it tends to heat up the emotions. Plus, eat foods such as avocados, oily fish, nuts and seeds, along with more dark green veg, which help stabilise blood sugars.’
2 Close your eyes
‘If your anger is inappropriate, the simplest thing to do when you feel rage bubbling up is to close your eyes, as it’s impossible to feel angry for long with your eyes closed. Then, when you open them, try to see things differently.’
