Looking radiant, Lynda Bellingham collected her OBE after being named in the Queen’s honours list, just a few months after starting a second round of chemotherapy.
The actress, 65, glowed with happiness as she was presented with the prestigious honour by Prince Charles, as her proud husband, Michael Pattemore, twin sons, Robert and Michael, and stepson, Bradley, looked on. Lynda, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, revealed after the ceremony that she hopes to get back to her day job as an actress as soon as possible. ‘It’s been well documented I’m dealing with cancer and having chemotherapy, so unfortunately my acting career is on hold – in the sense that I need to pay attention to the chemotherapy really,’ she said. ‘But hopefully, eventually one will get back…
