Look at me, I’m 31, dress well, I have nicely styled hair and good makeup. But most importantly, I’m also a mum.
And that’s my point. Just because I have kids doesn’t mean I can’t look good. All too often you see women pushing prams dressed in tracksuit bottoms and baggy tops, with hair scraped back and not even a trace of lippy.
‘I’ve no time to dress up,’ they say. Or, worse, ‘What’s the point, I’ll only get messed up cooking the kids’ tea.’
Looks matter
Yet, I can’t see why I shouldn’t make an effort to look my best at all times. So, even though my daughter, Eivissa, is just two, and her sister, Cataleya, nine months, I make sure I’m well-groomed and wear stylish clothes.
