We live in a culture where people in the limelight are expected to look different every time we see them. Yet in contrast, we’re not surprised (or disappointed) if our colleague from work is seen wearing the same dress over and over again. As they have plenty of money, we think celebs can afford new clothes all the time. Plus, as they often get given them as a promotion for brands, we can find it odd when they then wear something they’ve stepped out in before. But the real reason we expect to see our favourite stars looking different every day is that we think of them as untouchables, hence we assume that, as they have a better lifestyle than us, they wouldn’t need to re-wear something old.…

Our columnist Lorraine Kelly shares what’s going on in her world The highs and lows of my 2012 It’s been quite a year for me, with a number of incredible highs and one almighty low. My worst time was obviously the horrific accident I had in February while attempting a jump on horseback for the very first time. As you may remember, I fell off and was trampled by the horse.
