Some people are surprised to find out that I consider myself to have quite the green thumb. I have a humble backyard, so I’m constantly filling up my home with everything from orchids to alocasia and ficus, and this time of year I really enjoy watching them bloom. Potato & chive pancakes Complete with hot smoked trout and creme fraiche MAKES 10 Peel and quarter 500g potatoes (desiree or Dutch cream) and place in a saucepan. Cover with cold water, season with salt and cook about 20 mins or until soft. Drain and press through a potato ricer or mash in a medium bowl.
