No one was more distraught at the news of Sarah, Duchess of York's breast cancer diagnosis than her daughters Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, but friends say the devastated sisters have proven to be “absolute rock stars” for their 63-year-old mum.
Fergie is recuperating at Royal Lodge following a successful mastectomy and insiders say visits from the girls, including new mum Eugenie, 33, have been daily.
“Beatrice and Eugenie know the rule about keeping calm and carrying on, and that's exactly what they did,” says an insider. “Don't underestimate how devastated they were when they heard the news, but around their mum, it was all light, hope, fun and optimism.
“Sarah's an inspiration for both of them and they're incredibly proud of how brave she's being.”…
