German tennis champ Boris Becker faced a London court last week, accused of trying to hide assets before and after his $6.2 million bankruptcy in 2017. According to the prosecution, the former world number one – who had girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho on hand for support at Southwark Crown Court – “played” the bankruptcy system by concealing his Wimbledon and Australian Open trophies, $1.68 million in cash from the sale of a car dealership he owned in Germany, multiple properties and a $1.2 million bank loan from authorities.
