It was cuddles, kisses and cries all round for mother-of-four Hannah Allen and her parents Terrie and Rod Warner when they reunited after months apart.
Terrie, 52, wiped away tears as she finally met the latest addition to her daughter’s bouncing brood, six-week-old Harper. Stuck 152 kilometres away in Melbourne’s lockdown, it was a meeting long overdue for the doting grandparents.
“As soon as Mum walked up to the bassinet, it was just a big cryfest,” says Hannah, 31, who lives in Bendigo, Victoria with her partner Shaun Hill, 34, and daughters Alira, 11, Mia, eight, and Evie, four, and baby Harper.
