Three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker, who has denied a string of criminal charges over his bankruptcy, has been told he could face seven years in jail if found guilty. The German tennis star, who was declared bankrupt in June 2017, appeared in London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court last week over accusations that he has been hiding assests, including a Chelsea apartment and $2 million in cash, from bankruptcy trustees and has failed to comply with a legal obligation to disclose his financial information. While the father-of-four, 52, denied 19 charges of alleged concealment, the court heard that on top of his UK apartment he also owned two properties in Germany.
